Hobbs, Brockunier Tumbler
323 Hobnail a.k.a. Dew Drop c.1886

| This EAPG (Early American Pressed Glass) tumbler is a fine example of this maker's method of hand-blowing glass (in this case ruby glass) into a 4 part mold pressed glass outer layer (crystal glass) ~ hence, why this item is referred to as cased glass AND EAPG (pressed glass), because it is both! Other aspects that add to the rarity and authenticity of this item is the fire polished top rim and the bottom's polished pontil. |
